Both Patrick and Phillippa are experienced horsemen; Patrick worked at various studs and yards near Kingsclere and Newmarket before spending 3 years at Gainesway Farm in America. A further 3 years assisting Dick Hern was followed by 3 years as assistant trainer to Ian Balding. Patrick has learnt from the best and been involved with such equine greats as Blushing Groom, Green Dancer, Nashwan and Selkirk. Phillippa is a medal-winning international 3 day event rider and a successful point to point jockey; she now oversees the day to day running of the yard and keeps everyone on their toes.
